Jack B. Beamish, 71, of Hubbard, OH, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Erie on December 23, 1945, the son of the late Clifford and Bonnie Rick Beamish.

Jack graduated from Harborcreek High School in 1964 after which he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged in 1971 after serving during the Vietnam Conflict. During his service he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. After serving in the United States Marine Corps he was self employed as a cement finisher for many years, retiring in 2000. Jack was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 3767 Hubbard, OH and the Army Navy Garrison Youngstown, OH Post 360. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Jack loved to watch The Cooking Channel. He was known to make the best baked beans and loved to cook his famous breakfasts, including French toast and potatoes for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his special mother-in-law, Norma Keep and his brother-in-law, Jimbo Kindle.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Clara Kindle Beamish; his daughter, Tina Stoneburner (Jim Henderson), of Niles, OH; his two sons, Bradley Beamish (Shaneen) and Eric Beamish (Kara) both of Columbus, OH; his son-in-law, Bob Stoneburner; his eight grandchildren, Annamarie, Brendan, Madison, Alyssa, Olivia, Parker, Savannah, and Mason; his two sisters, Marilyn Moore (Jim) and Chris Pruyn; his brother, Bill Beamish (Pam); his sister-in-laws, Dutchie Bliss (Elmer), Jennie Chilcott (Jack), Glenda Porter (Fred), Shirlee Plyler, Carole Jean Sulecki (Jim), June Stacy, and Christy Keep; his brother-in-laws, Harry Kindle, and William Kindle (Jim Sipes); and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jack was a loving “Papa” to his eight grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504, on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. officiated by his family relative, Rev. David Turner. Burial with military honors will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
