Robert  R. "Bob"  Schofield
Robert R. “Bob” Schofield, 92, of Erie, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Independence Court. He was born March 30, 1925 in Hollywood, CA, son of the late Charles C. Schofield Sr. and Winifred Puryear Schofield.

He retired in 1996 as a freelance washer and dryer repairman. He graduated from Zanesville, Ohio High School in 1943 and served in the U. S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Erie where he served as an usher.

He was preceded in death by his wife N. Margene Marshall Schofield in 1981 and by a brother, Charles C. Schofield Jr. in 1955.

He was a member of Perry Keystone Lodge #392 F&AM in Erie, Scottish Rite Valley of Erie, Zem Zem Legion of Honor, Erepa Grotto, Presque Isle Region Antique Auto Club of America, Airflow Club of America, American Legion Post 571 and the Siebenbuerger Club.

Survivors include a daughter Nancy Marshall of Erie, a son Robert C. Schofield and his wife Debbie, of Portland, Oregon; a sister Patricia “Patsy” Ours of Hebron, OH; a step sister, Joan Hunter, of Troy, OH; dear friend, Florence Kobylinski, of Erie; five grandchildren, Melissa Carrick, Susan Brown-Soharweid (Shane), James Schofield (Briana), Jeffrey Schofield and Julia Jacobson (Grant); and four great-grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Julianne Brown, Loghan Schofield, and Alannah Schofield.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there the following afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Erie Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St. Erie, PA 16505.
