Eric J.  Riddle
Eric J. Riddle, age 57, of Erie, passed away after a courageous battle against leukemia on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Oakmont, PA, on March 6, 1960, the son of Ronald J. Riddle and the late Dolores Corso Achtzehn.

Eric graduated from Riverview High School in 1978 and went on to serve in the United States Army. He graduated from Edinboro University in 1990. He had worked as an Investment Counselor for PNC Bank and later as a Pharmacy Technician for PharMerica. Eric loved Fantasy Football and was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed traveling to Mexico and Los Vegas with his wife, playing golf, vegetable gardening, BBQ grilling, and spending time in front of his outdoor fireplace that he built with his friend Ernie Black. Eric loved spending time with his wife and many friends, especially his wife’s best friend Karen Loomis.

In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Riddle.

In addition to his father he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Mary Beth Majchrzak Riddle; his brother, James Riddle and his wife Charlene; his two step-brothers, Darren Achtzehn and his wife Cindy, and Dennis Achtzehn; his step-sister, Noreen Achtzehn, all of Madison, PA; his brother-in-law, Rev. Gregory Majchrzak and his wife Renee, of Harborcreek, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service there the next morning at 11:00 a.m. followed burial with military honors at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
