Evelyn Marie Lopez, 97, a resident of Forestview Health Care Center, passed away peacefully following a short illness on Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born in Erie on July 5, 1919 to the late Emil and Marie Enas Teubert.

She attended Strong Vincent High School. She had previously worked for Erie Resistor and the former Trask/Carlisles in the Ladies department. Evelyn was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and had been a volunteer in their Food Pantry. She was also an active member of the Saint Vincent Auxiliary. She enjoyed and was a talented quilter and knitter, making many items for her beloved children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Hanninen, Henry Fedor, and Joseph Lopez; her brothers, Russell Teubert, in infancy, and William Teubert; and her sisters, Margaret Teubert and Marion McLaughlin.

She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Hanninen (Nancy) of Plano, Texas, and Norman Fedor (Judy) of Erie; her sisters, Dorothy Fedor, Loretta Colegrande, and Joanne Mosier, all of Erie. She is further survived by her adored grandchildren, Julie Kilgore (Brett) of Plano, Texas, Beth Brown (Adam) of Nashville Tennessee, Katie Lauver (Aaron) of Houston, Texas, Ryan Fedor of Torrance, California, Corey Fedor (Tracy) of Erie, and Hallie Johnston (Robert) of Webster, New York. She had 10 great grandchildren who gave her the greatest joy: Collin and Kennedy Kilgore, Noah and Mason Brown, Evelyn and Thomas Lauver, Ella and Nora Fedor, and Pierce and Remley Johnston. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of Forestview and Home Instead Senior Care for their loving care of Evelyn over the past few years.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there on Thursday morning at 10:15 a.m. followed a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
