Obituary for David R. Allgeier

David R.  Allgeier
David R. Allgeier, 52, of Greene Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 25, 2017. He was born in Erie on May 4, 1964 a son of Thomas A. Allgeier and the late Joanne M. Brozewicz Allgeier Macrino.

David was a 1982 graduate of Seneca High School and was owner of Johnson and Flick Tire. He was a board member of the Crime Victim Center and was a member of the St. Boniface Ushers Club. David volunteered with Gifts for Kids and was an Erie Otters fan and supporter. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates.

In addition to his father, survivors include his son, and greatest joy, Grant C. Allgeier of Erie; one sister, Susan M. Allgeier of Greene Township; one brother, Larry M. Allgeier of Greene Township; his stepfather, William T. Macrino (Audree) of McKean; his former wife, Michele Allgeier of Erie; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family respectfully, but firmly, requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Kuhl Hose Co. 3131 Rescue Lane, Erie, 16510 or to a charity of one's choice.

David was an outgoing person who loved people and loved life. He will be remembered and missed by many.
