My favorite person at Safe Harbor

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my former coworker Chris. She was one of my very favorite nurses when we worked together at Community Integration, now Safe Harbor. She was always so much fun and occassionally pranked me. I never knew when I would find a fake bug on a window blind or some other unexpected creature in my office and her timing was impeccable. I think I still have one  of the large green grasshoppers she strategically placed, with the intention of one day returning the favor. We shared family stories, and recipes. I continue to make one of my favorites she gave me..Chocolate Zuchinni Bread, still in my file in her handwriting. We often went back and forth about who had the best Golabki (cabbage roll) recipe, I think she won. We supported each other through rough patches and losses. I especially appreciated her willingness to administer  prescription injections  to me as needed when I suffered from debilitating headaches at work. I  will aways remember her special attention to her geriaric patients with whom she had a very special rapport and kindness. She was a credit to her profession. Her love for her famly was always so apparent in the stories she shared! My heart breaks for all of you on this loss. I wish we could have shared just one more memory together .My heartfelt sympathy.
