Betty J. Uhrin Pituch, 85, of Greene Township, passed away peacefully, with her children by her side, on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born in East Hickory, PA on April 18, 1931 a daughter of the late John and Esther Clark Uhrin.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of Hickory High School and worked as an aid with the Shriner's Hospital for Children after moving to Erie. She attended St. Boniface Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, flower gardening, and making pies.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Theodore P. Pituch; and one sister, Shirley Baker.

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Pituch of Erie; one son, Robert Pituch of Union City; one sister, Mary Patricia Himes of Kennedy, NY; one brother, Rev. John Uhrin of New Bethlehem, PA; an aunt, Mary Uhrin of Johnsonburg, PA; her grand puppy, Daisy; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services there at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will follow in Mount of Olives Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Great Lakes Hospice, especially Betty's caregivers, Susan, Brenda, Kayla, and Kathleen, for the love and support given to Betty.
