Daniel  J.  Elliott
Daniel J. Elliott, 52, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 28, 2014 at UPMC Horizon in Greenville, PA. He was born in Erie on March 1, 1962 a son of Jack Elliott and Carol Guenesch Meyer and stepson of Carol Lunger Elliott and James Meyer.
Daniel spent his childhood in Findley Lake and graduated from McDowell High School. He worked in the IT Department at Erie Insurance for 23 years and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a great husband and father and was an avid fisher, camper, golfer, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Elliott.
In addition to his parents and step-parents, survivors include his wife, Anna Marie Miller Elliott; one son, Matthew Elliott at home; one sister, Debbie Bruli and her husband Michael of Erie; two brothers, David Elliott and his wife Carla of Fairview and Donald Elliott and his wife Tammy of Erie; his mother and father in law, Richard and Deanna Nikolishen Miller of Erie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
