Obituary for Judith Crosby (Van Dyk)
Judith Van Dyk Crosby, 80, a resident of Brevillier Village, passed away peacefully Sunday May 28, 2023. She was born in Erie on August 19, 1942 a daughter of the late Lawrence and Wilma Jones Van Dyk.
Judy graduated from Wesleyville High School and was a lunch lady at Diehl Elementary School for several years. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved her beagles. She enjoyed bowling, watching little league baseball, and girls softball.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edward "Bud" Crosby.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick Crosby (Angela) of Harborcreek, Todd Crosby (Carolyn) of Erie, and Timothy Crosby (Jennifer Drzewiecki) of Erie; three grandchildren, Ryan Crosby, Kalie Sturdevant (Emerson), and Matthew Crosby; one great grandchild on the way; one sister, Carol Boyce (David) of Owensboro, KY; a former daughter in law, Stacy Crosby of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Orphan Angels Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Center, 5439 W Lake Rd, Erie, PA 16505.
