Obituary for John L. Hunt Sr.
John L. Hunt, Sr., 76, of Wattsburg, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 after a serious illness. He was born in Ilion, NY on February 20, 1947, a son of the late Elmer and Evelyn Bouck Hunt. He married Ruth Fuller Hunt, who preceded him in death on March 30, 2022.
He was a graduate of General McLane High School.
John worked in the Brush Holder division mainly in buildings two and six ending his career as a quality engineer after 35 years at General Electric.
He enjoyed painting, model making, working on car engines, and gardening.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Melissa Hunt.
John is survived by his sons, John L. Hunt, Jr., of Wattsburg and Jeffrey Hunt of Rochester, PA his daughter, Roberta Bacik (Michael) of Fairview; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Anthony, Kathryn, Bryce, Brandon, and Jonathan and one great grand daughter.
Services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Dunn Valley Cemetery in McKean, Pa.
