Obituary for Vickie Mattson (Lewis)
Vickie Lewis Mattson, 82, of Erie, passed away Friday May 12, 2023 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born in Erie on May 2, 1941 a daughter of the late Robert and Irene Rinderle Lewis.
Vickie graduated from Harbor Creek High School and earned her degree in Elementary Education from Edinboro State College. She was a teacher with the Harbor Creek School District and went on to work at the St. Vincent Day Care. She loved sewing, reading, hanging out at McDonald's, children, her grandpuppies, and Johnny Cash
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, George Mattson, and her brother in law, Leonard Terrill.
Survivors include one son, Robert Mattson of Erie; one daughter, Lori Robson (David, Jr.) of Erie; one sister, Roberta Terrill of Edinboro; one brother, Thomas Lewis; her Godmother, Delores Wilcher of Erie; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
