Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Twaroski (Krasnesky)

Elizabeth "Betty" Krasnesky Twaroski, 88, of Greene Township, passed away Thursday March 23, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Erie on January 9, 1935 a daughter of the late Bernard C. and Cecelia Kujawski Krasnesky.

Betty graduated from Academy High School and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the school PTA . She enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the casino, and playing cards.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Rouse; five sisters, Elaine Krasnesky, Eleanor Robasky, Catherine Lackovic, Adelaide Rodgers, and Patricia Watkins; and one brother, Bernard Krasnesky.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 70 years, Frank Twaroski; her five children, Betsy Katen (Timothy) of McKean, Trina Zielinski (Lenny) of Wattsburg, Danny Twaroski (Karen) of Wattsburg, Cindy Powell (Dan) of Greene Twp., and Kelly Twaroski (Patty) of Lake City; her son in law, Ted Rouse of Union City; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; her brother in law, Tom Twaroski of Erie; her sister in law, Helen Cash of Fairview; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Sunday March 26th (today) from 2 to 6 p.m. and on Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be private, at a later date, in Mount of Olives Cemetery.
