Obituary for Christopher J. Swanson
Christopher J. Swanson, 39, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at UPMC Chautauqua Hospital. He was born in Jamestown on February 28, 1983, a son of the late William E. and Doreen C. Klawon Swanson.
He attended Jamestown High School.
Chris worked various construction jobs and enjoyed building playgrounds, roofing, and dry-walling.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, and spending time with his daughter, Bella.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Klawon.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Bella Swanson, of Jamestown; his brother, William (Kelly) Swanson of Ripley, NY; his sister, Corinne (David) Curtis of Jamestown, NY; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, Pa 16504 on Saturday, January 21, from 12 PM until the time of memorial service there at 2 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
