Obituary for Denise Morell (Patterson)
Denise Patterson Morell, 67, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 14, 2023. She was born in Erie on December 4, 1955 a daughter of Janet Kufner Patterson and the late William C. Patterson.
Denise worked for the Regional Cancer Center and went on to work as a nurse's aide in various settings.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" P. Morell; her stepson, Josh Morell; and three sisters, Debra Oswalt, Jill Popa, and Jane Krahe.
In addition to her mother survivors include one son, Jason Morell (Amanda) of North East; one daughter, Catherine Morell (Jacob Rindfuss) of Erie; six grandchildren, Merissa, Madison, Miranda, Kaleigh, Ronnie, and Ryleigh; two great grandchildren, Liam and Roman; one brother, Barry Patterson, of Erie; her stepmother, Beverly Patterson, of Corry; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
