Obituary for Dorothy E. Langdon (Wensel)
Dorothy E. Wensel Langdon, 83, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 28, 2022, at Lecom at Village Square. She was born in Nu Mine, PA on November 8, 1938, a daughter of the late Floyd and Carrie E. Snyder Wensel.
Dorothy worked as an anesthesia technician at Hamot Medical Center until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and camping at Family Affair campground.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence L. "J.R." Langdon; her grandson, Jack Armbruster; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Survivors include her son, Richard Langdon and his wife, Mary Beth, of Allison Park, PA; her daughter, Tammy Armbruster, of Erie; three grandchildren, Adam and Nicholas Langdon, and Ellen Armbruster (Dalton Hollingsworth); two great grandchildren, Harper and Henley; two sisters, Joanna "Bub" Wilkinson and Leona "Honey" Wensel; one brother, Marvin Wensel and his wife, Clara; her former spouse, Lawrence L. Langdon; and many nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
