Obituary for Rowene Dropsho (Schlosser)

R. Rowene Dropsho, 94, slipped away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, with her daughters by her side. Born November 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Kern G. and Helen Shelhamer Schlosser.

She has now gone on to join the love of her life, George. Together they owned and operated their dairy farm in Greene Township for over 30 years. Side by side each day building a life and their family. Many wonderful memories were made which will forever endure the passage of time. Rowene was a wonderful mom and homemaker. She loved sewing, cooking and was a phenomenal baker. Her past times were filled with many games of scrabble, card games with friends and numerous jigsaws and crosswords.

In addition to her husband George, of 62 years she was preceded in death by her son, James Edward and her four sisters, Wilma, Shirley, Norma and Marjorie.

She is survived by three daughters Cheryl MacDonald (Thomas) of Ontario, Judy Smith (John) and Susan Denial (Martin), both of Union City. Five grandchildren Jeremy Smith, Jason Smith (Wendy), Christopher, Corey (Jenica) and Kelli Denial. Six great grandchildren MaKenna Wanzer (Kohle), Jason and Andrew Smith, Landon Russell, Blake and Austin Denial. One great great granddaughter Hayzel Smith.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Phillipsville Union Cemetery.
