Obituary for Milton H. Breter

Milton H. Breter, 93, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Erie on November 13, 1928, a son of the late Henry and Alvena Walkow Breter.
He married Mary Alice Hertner on November 20, 1948.
Milton graduated from Tech High School in 1946. He worked in printing at Dunlap Printing, Erie Direct Mail Services, and Clinton Press.
He served in the US Army National Guard.
Milton was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. He enjoyed his cars, spending time with family, and was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always a gentleman in dress and manner.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Keith Breter and James (Karen) Breter, both of Erie; his grandchildren, Craig (Sharon) Breter of Hinesville, Georgia, Kevin (Katie) Breter of Erie, and Mark (Jackie) of Pittsburgh; his great-grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Breter of Hinesville, Georgia, Zachary Breter of Erie, and Ali Breter of Pittsburgh; his step great-grandchildren, Liam and Abram Pohl of Erie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Ethel Carr and Gladys Lichtenwalter.
Friends and family may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, Pa 16504 on Monday from 10 AM until the time of services there at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Erie Cemetery.
