Obituary for Timothy "A." Keller

Timothy “Tim” A. Keller, 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at UPMC Hamot Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Erie, on April 5, 1961, a son of the late James E. Keller, Sr. and Carol Ann Murphy Keller.
He attended Seneca High School. He worked as a scheduler for The Plastek Group for many years until his retirement in 2018.
Tim was a past member of the American Legion Post 773 and the East Erie Moose Lodge 593.
He loved his hunting camp in Spring Creek where family and friends have gathered since 1968. He held the family trophy for the largest whitetail buck. He enjoyed fishing at Brokenstraw Creek, riding ATV’s, golfing, bowling and cruising Presque Isle State Park in his blue BMW convertible.
Tim loved his dog, Meka, and was also an avid bird watcher. He took pride in his home, camp and lawn. “Papa Tim” also enjoyed playing board games with his step-granddaughter, Sophie.
He is survived by his brothers, James Keller Jr. (Emmie) of Erie and Daniel Keller (Peggy) of Edinboro; his sister, Michele Ventrello (Stephen) of Erie; his niece and nephews, Daniel Keller (Jayme) of Pittsburgh, Katie Keller (Julia) of Shelton, WA, Stephen Ventrello of Roanoke, VA, and Alex Ventrello of Erie; his girlfriend, Tammy Drayer of Erie; and his step-granddaughter, Sophie Kightlinger of Erie.
​The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hillman Cancer Center, the ICU Unit at UPMC Hamot Hospital and the UPMC Home Health nurses.
Friends are invited to call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16504 on Tuesday from 4 PM until the time of services there at 6 PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.
