Obituary for Margery A. Pelkowski (Kubeja)

Margery A. Kubeja Pelkowski, 90, a resident of Brevillier Village and formerly of Parkside at Westminster, passed away on Sunday July 3, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on October 16, 1931 a daughter of the late Leo E. and Henrietta S. Hain Kubeja.

Marge worked in the Record Department at the General Telephone Company of Pennsylvania, at St. Mary’s Home East as a floor manager and as a personal home-health aide. She belonged to the West Ridge Fire Department Auxiliary supporting firefighters and fundraisers. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and volunteered in church activities. She was a life-long dog lover, an avid football fan and loved family gatherings.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leonard R. Pelkowski; one sister, Donna Spinks; and two brothers, Edwin L. and Eugene D. Kubeja.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Pelkowski of Erie and Natalie Bohrer and her husband, Jeffrey, of Wauconda, IL; two grandchildren, Evan Pelkowski and his wife, Selma, and Brianna Kincaid and her husband, Marques Sr.; four great grandchildren, Alivia Pelkowski, Maida Pelkowski, Marques Kincaid Jr. and Evan Pelkowski Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
