Dean A. Earl, 65, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022, after losing his lifelong battle with addiction. He was born in Erie on October 17, 1956, a son of the late Charles E. and Irene K. Boinski Earl.

Dean graduated from Central Tech in 1975 and went on to work as a machinist for various companies throughout his career. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Earl, his sister-in-law, Sharon Earl, his Grandma Honey, and his nephew, Dustin Charles Earl Melvin.

Survivors include his children, Damien Earl (Tiffany) of McKean, Eric Earl (Juli) of Minnesota, Melanie Earl of Erie, and Toby Martin of Erie; his sisters, Dana Earl-Bruno (Joseph) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Patricia Wienczkowski (Jim) of Erie, and Jackie Earl of Erie; his brother, Charles A. Earl of Erie; his six grandchildren, Cameron, Gage, Persyus, Lucien, Emrys, and Augustus; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA.
