John F. Steen, 51, of Erie, passed away on Friday June 17, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Erie on October 20, 1970 a son of the late Samuel D. and Janice Gross Steen.

John graduated from Tech Memorial High School and went on to graduate from Erie Institute of Technology. He worked as a machinist at Enjet Aero and was a proud 21 year member of the Elks Club. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Star Wars. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, hunting, and especially spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Johnson Steen; his fur babies, Aries and Loki; one brother, Scott Steen and his wife, Theresa, of North East; one sister, Sharon Burkett and her husband, Troy, of McKean; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
