Joan Marie Hain Goodard, 87, of Erie, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She was born in Erie, on September 5, 1934, a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Justka Hain. She married Robert L. Goodard in June 1957. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1994.
Joan graduated from Academy High School in 1952. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed watching cooking shows.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Lawrence and Mark Goodard; a brother, Edward Hain; and a sister, Shirley Pelkowski of Erie.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa “Terri” Metzger of Erie; her son, Michael “Mick” Goodard (Darlene) of Waterford; a sister, Dorothy Ebisch of Erie; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Friends and family may call at Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, Pa 16504 on Monday from 9 A.M. until the time of Funeral Service there at 11 A.M. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
