Obituary for Frederick F. Marshall Sr.

Frederick F. Marshall, Sr., 89, of Erie, passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge on Monday June 6, 2022. He was born in Monclova, Ohio on January 13, 1933, son of the late Joseph and Sophia Vogt Marshall.

Fred attended Academy High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanic and managed several service stations, then went on to work for Precise Plastics in Lafayette, IN until his retirement. Following his retirement he enjoyed mowing fairways at Lakeview Country Club. He was a member of Belle Valley Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He enjoyed family time, donuts and coffee, and woodcrafting.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Florence Peterson Marshall, one sister Helen Agens, and six brothers, Joseph, Cliff, Walt, and George Marshall and Art and Lawrence Guy, brother in-laws Harold and Larry Peterson.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra McConahy (Patrick) of Harborcreek, two sons, Frederick Marshall, Jr. (Catherine) of Harborcreek and Bryan Marshall (Sheryl) of Lafayette, IN, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, sister in-laws Loretta Marshall, Marylou Peterson, Marian Hartley, brother in-law Richard Jones (Joanie), two Aunts and many nieces and nephews, and his dear friend Patty Smolinsky who will miss him dearly.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Belle Valley Presbyterian Church On Monday, June 13, 2022. Visitation at 9:30 am and service at 10:00 am., Inurnment will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.

Frederick's family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at St. Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge for their loving care, compassion, and friendship shown during his time spent there.
