Obituary for Mary P. Mayle
Mary P. Mayle, 89, of Erie, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born in Waynesburg, PA on April 3, 1933, a daughter of the late James J. and Josephine Bruckner Phillips.
Mary graduated from Jefferson High School, class of 1951. She married Harvey on December 24, 1951. She was previously active in Carriage Hill Wesleyan Church, and most recently active in First Church of the Nazarene. Mary was a member of the PA Reflexology Association and Keenagers in Wesleyville, PA. She was a reflexologist and seamstress. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending quality time with friends. Mary was always ready and willing to help those in need. Most of all Mary loved the Lord her Saviour deeply.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harvey E. Mayle; her brother, J. Paul Phillips; and her triplet grandchildren in infancy.
Survivors include her three sons, David Mayle and his wife Sandy, Daniel Mayle and his wife Becky, both of Erie, and John Mayle and his wife Pamela, of Summerville, S.C.; her six grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; her brother George A. Phillips and his wife Janet, of Carmichaels, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and the following morning from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service there at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
