Harold “Butch” L. Hutchison, 78, of Greene Twp., passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his residence surrounded by friends and family. He was born in Erie on May 22, 1944, a son of the late Arnett C. and Shirley Jones Wager Hutchison. He married the late Gayle Becker Hutchison. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2006.
He graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1962. He worked as a machine maintenance foreman at Haysite for 30+ years.
Harold enjoyed hunting and collecting guns.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a sister, Jean Marie Bridgman; two brothers, Arnett C. Hutchison, Jr. in infancy and James Arnett Hutchison; and a stepfather, Michael Wager.
Survivors include a son, Harold “Buddy” Hutchison and his wife, Tonya of Poquoson, VA; an adopted son, Joseph Weaver of Erie; two stepdaughters, Kimberly Lawrence and her husband, Michael of Erie and Michelle Colgan of Florida; a step-son, Mark Colgan and his wife, Kathy of Erie; three grandchildren, Brittany, Cody, and Steffanie Hutchison all of Poquoson, VA; two great-grandchildren, Cohen and Cruzzer Stone both of Poquoson, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a thank you to friends, Dave and Mardi Garnon for being his caretakers multiple times.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc, 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, Pa 16504 on Tuesday, May 31 from 12-2 P.M. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery at 2:30 P.M.
