Obituary for Lois E. Leise (Obringer)
Lois Obringer Leise, 93, of Erie, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday April 3, 2022. Lois was born in Pittsburgh on December 17, 1928 a daughter of the late Christian and Eleanor Eicher Obringer.
Lois graduated from St. Wendelin School in Pittsburgh. She worked in many trades: Spear & Co. (Pgh.), Lincoln Electric (Cleveland), Obringer Card and Gift Shop (Pgh.), Leise Sunoco (Lowville, PA), the Ramada Inn (Erie) and Spanish Gates Apts. (N.Y.). She attended Pittsburgh Floral Academy and opened and operated Belle Valley Floral for 19 years retiring at the age of 81. Lois was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Ladies Guild, the Belle Valley Fire Dept. Auxiliary, and St. Paul Retreat Center.
In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Leise; two brothers, Earl and Robert Obringer; two nephews Earl Obringer and James Obringer; and two very dear friends Margaret Lutz and Hilda Popka.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen A. Leise; her son, Wayne Leise and his wife, Pamela; a grandson Steven Leise; a granddaughter Lauren Leise; a great granddaughter, Luna Leise; one brother, Richard Obringer and his wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial were private for family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
