Obituary for Laura Fornalczyk
Laura Nicholas Fornalczyk, 95, of Erie, passed away on Friday January 21, 2022 at Sarah A. Reed Retirement Center. She was born in Erie on May 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Violet Bernardini Nicholas.
Laura graduated from Academy High School in 1944 and was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Basil Nicholas, and her sister, Frances Esposito.
Survivors include her husband of 77 years, Harry C. Fornalczyk; one daughter, Janice Fullmer and her husband, Gary, of Eden, UT; one son, Dr. Robert Fornalczyk and his wife, Heidi, of Gibsonia, PA; two grandchildren, Adam Fornalczyk of Cincinnati and Diana Fornalczyk of Cleveland; two step-grandchildren, Christine Bruce and Caroline Fullmer, both of Louisville, CO; three great grandchildren, Elise Bruce, Jackson Bruce, and Gordon Sjodin and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Mary Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
