Obituary for David C. Sack
David C. Sack, 53, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Erie on May 25, 1968 a son of the late Harold L. Sack, Sr. and Shirley E. Edwards Sack.
David graduated from McDowell High School where he played trumpet in the Trojan Marching Band. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in South Korea. He received aeronautical training in Pittsburgh and worked for the Local #12 Sheet Metal Union and Erie Strayer. He was an avid Star Wars fan participating in many charitable events as Star Wars characters and also with the 501st Legion. He was a member and former chairperson of Narcotics Anonymous.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl Groves; one brother, Harold Sack, Jr.; and his nephew, Jayson Sack.
Survivors include his son, Jacob Sack, of Erie; one brother, Kevin Sack and his wife, Sandy, of Erie; and five nephews, Tony, Vinny, and Jon Sack, and Dan and Scott Davis.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of services there at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
