Obituary for Jodie L. Dickey

Jodie L. Dickey, 56, of Lawrence Park, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Erie, on August 19, 1965, a daughter of Val Litz Dickey and her late father, Donald Buffalari.

Jodie graduated from Iroquois High School in 1983 and went on to earn LPN Degree from the Erie School District Practical Nurse Program in 1991. She worked as a LPN for 25 years at Gaudenzia and the Soldiers and Sailors Home. Jodie loved going to the casino and traveling. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dickey and her nephew, Baby Jose.

In addition to her mother, her best friend, she was survived by her son, Daniel Casiano; her sister, Jennifer, her brother, Jeff; her nieces and nephews, Brandy, Tony (Melissa), David, Cheyenne, Dawn (Henry), Tiffany, and Josh (Kim); many great nieces and nephews; her cats, Cleo, Bob, Gaga, and Beyonce; and her grand-dragon, Volcano. Jodie was a second mother to anyone that walked through her doors.

As Jodie always said, "I'm leaving this world with the smoking hot body I always wanted."

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
