Obituary for Larry E. Peterson
Larry E. Peterson, 81, of North East, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born in Warren, PA, on June 26, 1940, a son of the late Harold Peterson, Sr. and Hazel Fladry Peterson Jones.
Larry attended East High School and worked as a truck driver for 25 years for Lyons Transportation and later was a self-employed truck driver with FedEx for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting. Larry loved his 1972 Buick and attending car shows. He enjoyed feeding all the wildlife around his home. Larry was known for the best corn roast on the planet! He loved desserts, especially pie. He was the very best uncle anyone could have growing up and a friend as an adult. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews with heavy hearts.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Florence L. Marshall and his brother Harold Peterson, Jr.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Peterson; brother-in-law, Frederick F. Marshall, Sr.; step-brother-in-law, Richard (Joanie) Jones; step-sister, Marion Hartley; two aunts, Helen Warr and Ruth Anderson; a special cousin and longtime friend, Karen (Dan) Gottwald; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by the RUSSELL C. SCHMIDT & SON FUNERAL HOME, INC. 5000 Wattsburg Rd.
