Herbert G. Wright, 87, of Erie, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday September 12, 2021. He was born in Erie on December 12, 1933 a son of the late Floyd M. and Louise E. Detisch Wright.

Herbert graduated from Tech Memorial and served in the United States Army. He worked at R.M. Kerner Company as a tool and die maker until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Richard J., Floyd J., and William A. Wright; and two nephews, Michael Wright and Christopher May.

Survivors include his sister, Betty May, and his sister in law, Donna Wright, both of Erie. He was also a great uncle to Jim, Sheila, Pattie, Lynne, Rick, Laurie and Lisa.

Burial will be private in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
