Obituary for Margaret Rose Richir (Mitchell)
Margaret Rose Mitchell Richir, 90, of Millcreek, passed away on Sunday August 1, 2021 at Fairview Manor following a brief illness. She was born in Monessen, PA on March 21, 1931 a daughter of the late John and Mary Sivak Mitchell.
Margaret served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and worked as a secretary at GE for 37 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, the Women's Club of Erie, and enjoyed bowling and playing cards at Mercy Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and George Mitchell, and four sisters, Helen Wokulich, Mary Bosko, Ann Wokulich, and Cecelia Pillar.
Survivors include two sisters, Betty Sebring of Greensburg, PA and Julie Woodworth of Hernando, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and entombment will be private.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
