Obituary for Jeffery A. Siegel

Heaven opened up to welcome home Jeffery A. Siegel, age 40, on July 9, 2021, from his residence in Millcreek, after complications from an extended illness.
He was born in Erie Pa on Aug 23, 1980, son of Marie A. Siegel.
Jeff attended Iroquois High School and from the age of 15, worked in the restaurant industry. Having worked his way up to line cooking, he gained a reputation of being one heck of a cook in several restaurants in Erie . Two friends recently told him people still talk about his skills in the kitchen. He could cook up the perfect steak, Blindfolded, while putting together the rest of the meal. He loved a great meal and was an excellent tipper for good service. He had a sweet tooth, like his mom, and especially enjoyed ice cream treats, cherry pie, and lime jello. His latest craze was the new Pina Colada Mountain Dew.
He loved being at the beach, joking with friends, bonfires in the backyard at the old homestead after work with his friends, road trip adventures, and music. He enjoyed listening to Erie’s Oldies Hip-Hop station and classic tracks like NAS “If I Ruled The World." His love of road trips began when he was 15. He and mom traveled to FL to visit his great grandparents and go to Disneyworld. It was a memory the two shared for the remainder of days. In 2016 he hopped on a Greyhound and headed to Phoenix to visit his mom. They went to the Grand Canyon, a first for both. He planned to take his son to Hawaii after he got his health restored. Jeff was a successful purveyor of men’s athletic shoes, and had a large personal collection. Jeff had a good sense of humor despite seeming too serious at times. He enjoyed animated comedians who could deliver comedy straight faced, that made him laugh the hardest. He loved movies. In recent times with being so sick and restricted in movement, he would watch a lot. And get together with his neighbor buddy, Gunner Yochim, order GrubHub and chow down and watch movies. They set off fireworks together on the 4th, and had a great time despite the severe pain Jeff was in.
His one truest love in this world was his son Roman. He truly enjoyed being a dad to his little boy. Jeff and Roman would tell each other they love each other more than the universe. They would sit at the table at Grandma’s house for hours and build very cool creations with Legos. Or pitch a tent in the backyard and camp out.
He will be forever missed by his mother, Marie A. Siegel of Phoenix Az, His son Roman B. Siegel of Cassadaga Ny, Great Aunt Evelyn A. Senger of Erie, Great Uncle Norman G. Wolfrom (Rose) of Lock Haven, Grandmother Sally V. Dauber of Clermont FL, Cousins Jamie L. Constantino (Ross) of Pittsburgh, Zachary R. Siegel, Amanda M.
