Obituary for Mary Ann Harrington (Januleski)

Mary Ann Januleski Harrington, 86, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Friday February 19, 2021 at LECOM Senior Living Center. She was born in Erie on March 2, 1934 a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Pelkowski Januleski.

Mary Ann graduated from East High School and was a founding member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She loved wintering in Florida and being in the sun with her husband. They chose their house on a golf course in Orlando specifically so their family could visit Disney World and go golfing. She enjoyed going to Disney World, golfing, and playing cards with her friends. Mary Ann was a tremendous cook. She always had a kettle cooking on the stove or a sweet treat to share over a cup of coffee. Many family members and friends continue to use her recipes to this day. She always welcomed anyone into her home with a smile and a seat at the dinner table.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Harrington; one son, Timothy John Harrington; one sister, Kathleen Ann Kennedy; and two brothers, Richard Paul Januleski and Joseph Norman Januleski.

Survivors include one daughter, Janell Wienczkowski and her husband, Rick, of Erie; one son, C. Jeffrey Harrington and his wife, Sandy, of North Canton, OH; six grandchildren, Joe Harrington, Bonnie Harrington-Flectner (Alan), Laurie Harrington, Erin Wienczkowski, Andrew Harrington, and Abbie Harrington; one great grandchild, Blaise; her daughter in law, Annemarie Harringon-Tenney, of Erie; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at St. Luke Catholic Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the Memorial Mass there at 11:30 a.m.. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.
