Obituary for Garrett G. Cleaver
Garrett G. Cleaver, 74, of Erie, passed away Thursday January 14, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Erie on November 20, 1946, a son of the late George L. and Gladys T. Sobolewski Cleaver.
Survivors include his sister, Barbara McLean-Dierickx and her husband George, of Cassopolis, MI; and many cousins and friends.
Ziggy graduated from Academy High School in 1965 and went on to serve in the United States Coast Guard. He worked for Bucyrus Erie and for K-Mart East Grandview as a manager in the electronics department. Ziggy was most recognized in Erie as the owner of the Stadium Lounge, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He was a member of the Sunflower Club. Ziggy was very helpful to his fellow neighbors at Grandview Manor.
Funeral services are private. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd.
