Obituary for Carl W. "Buzz" Dearbeck
Carl “Buzz” Dearbeck passed away on Wednesday, January 06, 2021. He was born on July 1, 1940, son of Carl and Betty Dearbeck. Grandson of his beloved grandfather and guardian, Ward W. Huston.
Buzz was a kind, considerate, fun-loving guy. The life of the party and a never-ending prankster. He lived his life to the fullest and did it, as Frank Sinatra would sing “My Way”.
Buzz will be sorely missed by his many friends, his pals at “The Gatherings” and leaves a huge void for his family.
In addition to his parents, Buzz was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Dearbeck; his sister, Linda Marie Dearbeck, in infancy; his niece, Dawn Hopper; and his sister-in-law, Dodie Dearbeck.
Left behind to cherish his memory are sisters, Beverly Dearbeck, Patricia (Kenneth) Culbertson and brothers Jerry Dearbeck of South Carolina, Robert and Martin Dearbeck of Erie; niece, Stephanie Burger; nephews, Jerry Jr., Mike and Nick Culbertson, Robert Hogan; and his “best friend”, Patti Smith.
The family would like to thank the staff at Western Reserve for taking such good care of him during his stay and Dennis of UPMC Hospice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Internment will be private at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
