Obituary for Janet Louise White (Worley)

Janet Louise Worley White, 78, of Erie, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Erie on January 25, 1942 a daughter of the late Richard and Kathryn Louise Brown Worley.

Janet graduated from the Hamot School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Hamot Medical Center. After raising her children, Janet went back to work as a school nurse at McDowell High School and Our Lady of Peace school. She attended Southside Baptist Church and also served as a co-leader of the Mothers of Pre-Schoolers (M.O.P.S) at First Alliance Church. She also enjoyed being involved with the Nurse's Card Club and the Church Friends Card Club. Janet also enjoyed the birds that visited her backyard. Janet was deeply committed to her family and friends. Anybody who knew Janet also knew she was passionate about her personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Larry M. White.

Survivors include two sons, Christopher White and his wife, Jerilyn, and Brent White and his wife, JillAnn; four grandchildren, Jordyn, Matt, Alison, and Emily; one brother, Kenneth Worley and his wife, Marge, of Waterford; one sister, JoAnne Mancusi of Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic funeral services and burial were private for the family.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
