Obituary for David B. Owens
David B. Owens, 49, of Erie, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence following a heroically lengthy battle with [pancreatic] cancer. David was born in Olean, NY, a son to Steve and Lynn (Rolenda Ferrio) Owens.
David attended Olean High School. He had a passion for music: drums, keyboards, vocals, synth, and songwriting. David enjoyed camping, spending time with his family, and entertaining.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée and the love of his life, Terri Toomey; and their monsters, Tatum and Junior; his sisters Kimberly Swartwout (Andy,) of Olean, NY; Katie Dietze (Deke,) of Eldred, PA; and his brother Daniel Owens (Ellie,) of Maryville, TN. He was an uncle, nephew, cousin, brother, bandmate, mentor, coworker, friend, and thorn to many.
