Obituary for Marilyn R. Akus (Rancuch)
Marilyn R. Rancuch Akus, 72, of Erie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at St. Mary's Home East. She was born in Erie on October 8, 1946 a daughter of the late Alexander and Lucille Cole Rancuch.
Marilyn worked as an administrative assistant at the Gertrude Barber Center and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter J. Akus; one daughter, Cortney Anne Akus Chesko and her husband, Michael, of Fort Worth, TX; one grandchild, Brody; one sister, Betty Bernhardt and her husband, Herman, of Rochester, NY; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will not be observed. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
