Obituary for Patricia A. Tate (Lundfelt)

Patricia A. Lundfelt Tate, 90, of Erie, passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at Elmwood Gardens. She was born in Erie on April 27, 1928 a daughter of the late Arthur and Jessie Thomas Lundfelt.

Patricia graduated from Academy High School and attended Villa Maria College. She worked as a bookkeeper for Johnson Lumber and went on to work at Fitz Lumber, Penn Iron and Metal, and Thrift Drug Store. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, the Belle Valley Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary, and was a Girl Scout Leader for several years. Patricia was an amateur architect having drawn the plans for the house she lived in for many years and enjoyed knitting hats and mittens for McKinley Elementary students. Above all, family was most important to her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan F. Tate.

Survivors include two daughters, Janet Moyers and her husband, Jack, of Conneaut Lake, and Barbara Dennison of Erie; one son, John Tate and his wife, Jean, of Baltimore; five grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Moyers, Jacki Moyers, Ashley and Josh Tate, and Benjamin Dennison; four great grandchildren, Rowyn, Archer, Alex, and Payton; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of services there at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
