Obituary for Bette J. Freeman (Tullio)

Bette J. Tullio Freeman, 86, of Erie, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at LECOM Senior Living Center. She was born in Erie on November 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Carl and Florence Ferretti Tullio.
Bette was a 1950 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and graduated in 1953 from the Wilson School of Medical Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked as a medical office manager for the Dr. Lamberton, Johns, & Mingey office for 27 years, retiring in 2005. Bette was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She enjoyed card playing, traveling, gardening, and attending the Mercy Center. Bette loved to host family gatherings.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Freeman and her brother, Robert Tullio.
Survivors include her two sons, Thomas Freeman Jr., and his wife Susan, of Oil City and David Freeman and his wife Laura, of Erie; her two daughters, Gayle Piotrowski of Columbus, OH, and Stacie Murzynski and her husband Dan, of Erie; her two brothers, Richard and David Tullio; her sister, Lucille Eberlein; thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there the following morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
