I have known Mr. Young all my life. He was like another father to me. I can not remember a time when Mr. Young was not part of my life. One of my favorite memories of Mr. Young is when we went to a farm. Now I was just a little girl so my memories have faded after 52 years but we had a wonderful picnic lunch. The food was incredible. Mrs. Young was a wonderful cook and all the ladies had brought food. It really was more of a feast. I remember playing baseball with the all the kids and the fathers. It was fun and everyone was included. I remember being mad at Scott because he had to have the right pitch before he would swing and of course he always got a home run. I remember how much my Dad loved Mr. and Mrs. Young. We went to their house and it was just normal to be there. It was like going to any of my Aunts or Uncles homes. They always made it a good place to visit. I know my Dad is heart broken over the loss of his best friend he had known since he was a baby. He doesn't always remember that your father is gone and when he does remember he is terribly sad. He misses his friends, the Youngs. You are part of our family too.
