Rex A. Buckner, 60, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018. He was born in Erie on August 3, 1957 a son of the late Harold M. and Donna M. Soudan Buckner.

Rex graduated from Academy High School and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Carl "Bucky" Buckner.

Survivors include one daughter, Rachael Garver (Richard) of Erie; one son, Michael Buckner of Erie; three sisters, Cheryl Hicks (Robert) of Erie, RoseMary Weber (Terry) of North East, and Susan Buckner of Greenville, NC; two brothers, Robert J. Buckner of Albion and David Buckner (Mary) of Fairview; five grandchildren, Samantha, Jesse, Tyler, Jimy, Raylee Mae; one great grandson, Liam; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were private and burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
