"Gone but not forgotten"

Ruth Randecker Argeny, 91, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 18, 2018 at St. Mary's Home Asbury Ridge. She was born in Erie on March 10, 1926 a daughter of the late Leonard and Helen Brusch Randecker.

Ruth was a 1944 graduate of Academy High School and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a senior helper with the Erie School District for eight years and enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She was a life member of the Zukor Club and a former member of the St. Mary's Club.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John R. Argeny; one son, Thomas Argeny; and one brother, Robert Randecker.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Argeny and his wife, Michelle, of Erie and Steven Argeny of Sheffield, PA; one daughter, Nancy Nielsen and her husband, Brian Diller, of Erie; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to services there on Monday at 1:00 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Erie Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
