Obituary for Patrick M. Voorhis

Patrick M. Voorhis, 51, of Erie, passed away, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Erie, on August 21, 1965, the son of Lila Mourton and the late Harry Voorhis Jr.
Patrick graduated from Strong Vincent High School. He worked for Erie Malibu Inc., McShane Welding, and later opened his own business, Voorhis Auto Center in 1999. He was a member of Five of a Kind motorcycle club. Patrick loved the Steelers and Harleys.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Chet Voorhis, Harry Voorhis III, and Gene Voorhis; and his two sisters, Vidia and Shirley Voorhis.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Carrie Ferraro Voorhis; his three sons, Derick Nelson, Shawn Mazur, and Joseph Mazur; his five grandchildren, Lily, Troy, Jade, Brook, and Natalia; his brother Art Voorhis; and his two sisters, Margaret Lawrence and Lynn.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service there at 7 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family c/o funeral home.
