Olivia M.  Askins
Olivia M. Askins, 21, of Erie, entered into eternal life on Thursday April 27, 2017. She was born in Erie on December 15, 1995 the daughter of William and Heather Hoffman Askins.
Olivia graduated from Seneca High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the chorus. As a student, Olivia volunteered for many years helping students with special needs. Olivia earned the teachers choice female student of the year award in 8th grade. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers. Olivia enjoyed time outdoors, spending time at the beach and being with her family. Olivia fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Italy with her Mom, her Yayee, and her cousin Carli after graduation in June of 2014. She will remain forever young in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Rose Wisniewski; her paternal grandfather, Jon Rothstein; and her great aunt, Anita McLeod Kidder.
In addition to her parents survivors include her big brother, Neville Askins of Erie; her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Teresa Hoffman of Erie; her paternal grandmother, Linda Rothstein of Erie; her paternal grandfather, William Askins Sr. and his wife Jacque of Florida; two aunts, Juliet Wright and Sheri Hoffman, both of Erie; four uncles, Bryan Hoffman of Erie, Stuart Hoffman of Las Vegas, Darrel Hoffman of Erie, and David Wright of Erie; her Godparents, Brad and Bernadette Peters of Erie; many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends; and her dog, Tuddy.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
