Christine  Jensen (Siemieniak)
Christine J. Siemieniak Jensen, 67, a lifelong resident of Erie, died on Tuesday February 7, 2017 at UPMC Hamot following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Erie on March 9, 1949 a daughter of the late Adam J. and Genevieve H. Poniatowski.

Chris was a graduate of McDowell High School and the St. Vincent School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Vincent Hospital, Safe Harbor Behavioral Health, and St. Mary's Home of Erie prior to retiring. She was a volunteer at Great Lakes Hospice for many years. Chris was an avid reader, enjoyed needlework, and loved to cook for her family. She felt blessed to have such a wonderful family and many loving friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, James H. Siemieniak.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Jensen, who was the love of her life; two sons, Keith Jensen and his wife Daneene of Perkasie, PA and Kevin Jensen of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Loughlin Smith, Alexandra and Brady Jensen who brought so much love and joy to her life; one sister, Carol Neubert and her husband, David of Erie; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Jensen Landis, Jr. Foundation for Children's Charities c/o the Erie Community Foundation, 127 W. 6th St., Erie, 16501 or a charity of one's choice.
