Rita M.  Orr (Mayville)
Rita M. Mayville Orr age 92 of North East, PA and formerly of Avon, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday August 15, 2015. She was born in Cleveland, OH on November 22, 1922 a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Vanderwist Mayville.
Rita graduated from St. Stephens High School in Cleveland, OH and worked for the Revere Copper & Brass Co. in Cleveland as a secretary. She moved to North East, PA in 2004 and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Harborcreek. Rita enjoyed spending time and eating lunch with her friends at the North East Senior Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Orr Sr. in 2009; two sisters, Anne Cooney and Virginia Hutchinson; and four brothers, Raymond, Frank, Albert and Robert Mayville.
She is survived by one daughter, Dee (John) Zarycki of North East, PA; one son, Jim (Eileen) Orr Jr. of Wakeman, OH; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Scott) Schroeder of Fairview, OH, James C. Orr III and his partner Chad Mathewson of Findley, OH, Anna Zarycki of North East, PA and John (Amy) Zarycki III of South Dakota; one great-grandson, Christopher Zarycki; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, 16504 on Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Interment will take place later in the day at St. Martin Tours Cemetery in Valley City, OH.
