Barbara M. Soety Stora, 77, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Union City on January 3, 1941 a daughter of the late Rexford and Genevieve Visniesky Soety.

Barbara graduated from Union City High School and attended beauty school. She worked at K-Mart for over 42 years before retiring in 2014.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Shane Stora; one brother, Lawrence Soety; and her former husband, Frank J. Stora, Sr.

Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Stora, Melodie Enders, and Tiffany Stora, all of Erie; one son, Frank J. Stora, Jr., of Erie; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Fletcher of Erie and Alice Ross and her husband, James, of Union City; one brother, Rexford Soety, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m until the time of services there at 7 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
