Richard F.  Donikowski
Richard F. Donikowski, age 79, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 06, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Erie, on January 5, 1939, the son of the late, Vincent and Lucia “Lucy” Siciliano Donikowski.
Richard graduated from Tech Memorial High School in 1957 and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He worked for Lord Corporation and later at General Electric as a draftsman for over 25 years, retiring in 1979. Richard was a member of Holy Rosary Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and going to the casino with his wife. Richard was an avid Packers fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Klemm Donikowski; his son, Mark Donikowski; and his brother, David Donikowski.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Lorraine Madsen and her husband David, of Erie; his three sons, Anthony Donikowski and his wife Karen, of Edinboro, David Donikowski and his wife Andrea, of Erie, and John Donikowski and his wife Shari, of Mt. Olivert, Ky; his nine grandchildren; his nine great-granddaughters; his brother Paul Siciliano; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there the next afternoon at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Rosary Church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmaus Soup Kitchen - 218 E 11th St, Erie, PA 16503.
